Valentine’s Day is coming! I know right? Wasn’t it just Christmas? Three weeks people! Don’t wait till all they have left are crappy Valentine’s cards. Take your kids nowwwww!
If you know me, you know I think holidays are lame and manufactured. Seriously, why do you want to go out to dinner on a night when 1000 other people are trying to eat at that same restaurant, there’s a set meal and a 2 hour wait for probably crappy service? PASS. Pay inflated prices for flowers? No thanks (I’m not a flower girl any way, I’ll take a purse).
But, I do remember in high school, my parents sent me flowers and a stuffed animal each year on Valentine’s Day. I loved it. I still have the bear and pig. I felt so special.
I love my girls and I can’t wait to make their Happy Heart Day great, too. I’ll deck them out in pink or hearts (oh wait, that’s pretty much most days anyway). I’ll get them some big fat Hey Cupcake cupcakes (well, not Allie–she’ll get some extra banana mango baby food) and cute little stuffed animals.
And their teachers? Well I’m already scouting Pinterest to see if I can find something awesome to give them. Seeing as how Allie has like 80 teachers, I am gonna try and make it something affordable. I’m guessing baked treats or something…
What about everyone else? I like sending cards. I like sending pictures that I actually printed off the computer. I think I keep the post office in business. So sending a card that has a picture of my cute girls for Valentine’s Day seems like a no brainer. Such a great way of saying, “hi family/friend! We’re thinking of you!”
So off I go to Tiny Prints because they have the cutest cards ever in life, especially Valentines Day Greeting Cards. We got our Christmas cards from them and I honestly still have one up in my office because it’s so freaking cute.
So maybe I wanna use this one…because, omg how cute, right?! Get it? Pear? Pair? Ha!
Or this one…because there’s nothing sweeter than cupcakes and my babies!

The great thing about both of them is we can use them as Valentine Cards to send family, then they can be used as the girls’ stationary for the rest of the year.
Who knows what I’ll come up with for Valentine’s. Being home with the girls while they’re sick has made me all types of crafty and domestic. Ok, well it’s given me the excuse to use lots of butter and make Rice Krispy treats, same thing.

The fine print: I will be getting 50 free cards in exchange for this blog post. But all the opinions here are mine. You know me, I tell you how it is. The stuff at Tiny Prints is ahhmazing. We got our Christmas cards super quickly and they were so well done. So trust me, you can’t go wrong.

Valentines day is super lame.
Why can’t we say I Love You all the time?
Meh.
The cards are lovely though.
Yes! That’s why I think most holidays are stupid.
My mom would, always, make sure that we had fun little presents every Valentine’s Day. But, I’m with you for heading out — going to a restaurant on Valentine’s Day is, downright, ridiculous. I usually prefer to cook at home . . . it can be much more romantic. And, if you got a babysitter for the night, anyway, well, dessert can be even more fun.
Doors have locks and video monitors are genius. You’re absolutely right.
I like the pear card. We like V-Day because it is a good excuse for buying chocolate cake.
Any day can be an excuse for a chocolate cake!
OK, so, I am RIDONK excited to get my Valentine from you.
And I have officially started handmaking J’s for this year. Because I’m insane and frugal and Pinterest has taken over my brain. You know.
